Perform a Stage1 Generation and Update Executing System (Option 4.1)

This option allows a MODBLKS, CTLBLKS, NUCLEUS or ALL generation to be performed. The generated Stage 1 is saved in a dataset and compiled to produce a Stage2 member which is saved in the same dataset. If the system is using DRD, a comparison is made with the executing IMS system and additions and deletions are made as appropriate.

Edit (and Submit) a Stage 1 Member (Option 4.1E)

The generated Stage 1 may be reviewed with this option and (optionally) submitted for compile. The recompile is only required if there was some error in the 4.1 generation process.

Edit (and submit) a Stage 2 member (Option 4.2)

This is not required if DRD is active.

Perform a Dynalloc Generation for All Databases (Option 4.3)

If all Dynalloc (DFSMDA) generation is required, Option 4.3 (4;DYN) may be selected and the resultant job submitted. This will generate multiple DYNALLOC definitions and submit the generated JCL to compile them all.

Note

This option is not valid in a DCCTL environment.
