Administration of IMS Execution Environment

COPE contains several features for enhancing the capabilities of the IMS environment. This section describes how to use them.

  1. Customization of the COPE Screen appearance, and the setting up of PF keys.
  2. Provision of custom commands under IMS.
  3. Facility for submitting jobs from IMS.
  4. JCL tailoring and variable substitution in submitted jobs.
  5. Backup/Restore submitted jobs from IMS.
  6. BMP-initiated command and message capability.
  7. An online exit that gets control on all DLI calls.
  8. An IMS archive exit for extracting accounting records’
