XBMSSID

Use the XBMSSID keyword to specify the name of the 

EXTENDED BUFFER MANAGER for IMS

 (

XBM for IMS

) subsystem to use for exploitation of the IBM System z Integrated Information Processor (zIIP).

The XBM for IMS subsystem is installed and used with XBM for IMS and the SNAPSHOT UPGRADE FEATURE for IMS component. For more information about zIIP exploitation, see Exploitation-of-the-zIIP. Uses

You can set the XBMSSID option at the following level:

GLBL control statement

PCPSYSIN keyword

XBMSSID(value)

Values

For the value, specify either of the following elements:

  • XBM for IMS subsystem name (1-8 alphanumeric characters)

    This value specifies the use of a specific XBM for IMS subsystem.

  • XBM for IMS group name

    Specify this value to use any XBM for IMS subsystem that is part of this XBMGROUP in the SYSPLEX.
