Logically related databases
Partitioned and nonpartitioned databases can be logically related providing that the nonpartitioned databases do not:
- Use logical parent pointers if the logical parent is in a partitioned database
- Use logical child pointers if the logical child is in a partitioned database
- Violate any logical relationship restrictions if the logical parent or logical child is in a partitioned database
The DBDGEN for a nonpartitioned database is not aware when logically related DBDs are partitioned. Consequently, you cannot complete logical child/logical parent pointers validation until the DMB is built during ACBGEN or DLI batch initialization.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
