EXTCMDS
The EXTCMDS keyword is valid with the UNLOAD command.
While performing an Unload, use the EXTCMDS keyword to manipulate the contents of the resulting output file. You define these manipulations using a command language. For example, you can:
- Select or delete specific segments meeting certain criteria
- Alter the format of the output file header and trailer records
Modifying segment data can aid in various tasks, such as:
- Quickly creating test databases
- Offloading sections of a database for historical purposes
- Restructuring a database
