If some number of months is added to or subtracted from a date and the resultant month has fewer number of days than the day of the month, the day will be set to the last day of the month.
For example, March 31, 2004 plus one month results in April 30, 2004. Likewise, January 31, 2003 plus 13 months produces February 29, 2004.
