RECON data sets—DBRC support

DBRC uses the RECON data sets to record information.

The RECON data sets are required in every job step that requires DBRC to be active. You can specify the RECON data sets in either of two ways:

  • Add a library that contains MDA definitions for the RECON data sets to the STEPLIB concatenation. BMC recommends that you specify RECON data sets in this way. You can also store the MDAs (dynamic allocation members) for the RECON data sets in the RESLIB.
  • Specify RECONn DD statements in the JCL.
