Using the BMC AMI zAdviser dashboard

This section describes the BMC AMI zAdviser dashboard and how to enable and use it.

BMC AMI Message Advisor for IMS is integrated with BMC AMI zAdviser to:

  • Collect various Message Advisor events (such as QPF actions, QPF phase changes, IMS commands, Requeue and Dequeue)
  • Send them to the BMC AMI zAdviser server
  • Display different analytics in the zAdviser dashboard

For example, the BMC AMI zAdviser dashboard provides you a historical analysis of the times that the QPF actions were invoked to provide relief to the IMS Message Queues and extend the availability of the IMS subsystem.

It can also provide an audit trail of the QPF activity if you need to check the history to see what happened, and help you decide on any QPF option changes you may need to help protect the IMS Message queues from an overflow.
