Using the Extract File Input panel to build extract file-related keywords
To access and work with the Extract File Input panel
- Access the ANALYZE Control Statement panel.For instructions, see Using-the-ANALYZE-Control-Statement-panel-to-build-the-ANALYZE-control-statement.
In the Specify input field to the left of the Extract File label, enter S.The Extract File Input panel is displayed below:

Note: If you specify an extract file as input, you must
also specify the WORKFILE control statement.
F1=Help F3=Exit F12=Cancel- (optional) In the Extract file field, identify an input extract data set that was created during a previous execution of Log Analyzer.The ISPF interface uses this field to generate the INPEXT keyword value. For more information, see INPEXT-keyword-for-the-ANALYZE-control-statement.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
