Using the Extract File Input panel to build extract file-related keywords

To generate INPEXT keywords and values on the ANALYZE control statement, use the Extract File Input panel. These keywords are used to allocate extract files that were created during a previous execution of the analysis job.

To access and work with the Extract File Input panel

  1. Access the ANALYZE Control Statement panel.For instructions, see Using-the-ANALYZE-Control-Statement-panel-to-build-the-ANALYZE-control-statement.

  2. In the Specify input field to the left of the Extract File label, enter S.The Extract File Input panel is displayed below:

  3. (optional) In the Extract file field, identify an input extract data set that was created during a previous execution of Log Analyzer.The ISPF interface uses this field to generate the INPEXT keyword value. For more information, see INPEXT-keyword-for-the-ANALYZE-control-statement.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
