Generating labels in batch

You can let Database Integrity automatically generate the labels as the databases are opened during normal processing, or you can use a batch job to create one, some, or all of the labels beforehand.

When you create the labels using the batch generation process, you avoid the slight overhead of generating the label during processing of the accessing program. You also know that Database Integrity was fully implemented on the date you ran the batch label generation job.

Before you generate labels for all DBDs in the library, you might want to run a DBD audit first to ensure that no problems exist in your control block libraries. For more information, see Auditing-DBD-libraries-using-BMC-AMI-Database-Integrity-for-IMS.
