Exporting and importing labels in batch

The Database Integrity label export and import tasks are useful for moving labels from one label data set (RECON or KSDS) to another (RECON or KSDS).

It can be used in a variety of situations:

  • If you want to convert the label data set from the RECONs to a KSDS, or from a KSDS to the RECONs, this process allows you to retain the labels across the conversion.
  • If you want to copy all or some of the labels from one label data set to another, such as during system testing or problem diagnosis, this process lets you copy specified labels from RECON to RECON, RECON to KSDS, KSDS to KSDS, or KSDS to RECON.
Warning

Do not export and import labels when migrating from a test to a production system! Instead, generate the labels in the production system as described in Generating-labels-in-batch.
