Navigating between panels

- To move to the next panel in the hierarchy, press Enter. The ISPF interface validates any information you have typed on the panel, completes the actions you selected, and displays the next panel.
- To move to the previously displayed panel from a selection or report panel, enter the CANCEL command (F12). The ISPF interface loses any changes you made to information on the panel and redisplays the previous panel.
- To move to the previously displayed panel from a menu, enter the END command (F3).
- To return to the panel from which you selected the overall task, enter the EXIT command (F3). Any changes you made on the panel or series of panels will be saved.
- On some panels, you can press a function key to go to a panel outside of the current hierarchical path. To do so, position the cursor on an object, and then press the designated function key. For more information about the process, see Selecting-an-object-on-a-panel.
- When you navigate between panels by selecting an object and pressing a function key, Database Integrity keeps track of the previous panels you have accessed. You can enter the CANCEL command (F12) to return to a previous panel in the series. To mark the current panel as the beginning of a series, enter the RESTART command (F18). Database Integrity allows a maximum of 10 panels in a series.
