Online PDXPDS utilities

To access the PDX/PDS Primary Menu (shown in the following figure):

  1. Type S next to DBU Supplemental Utilities on the BMC Software IMS DBU Product Selection Menu panel.
  2. Select 1 on the IMS Database Supplemental Utilities panel.

  3. Press Enter.

                                    PDX/PDS Utilities
     Command ===> _________________________________________________________________

     Select a choice.  Then press Enter.

     PDX/PDS
       _  1.  Member browse/edit/string search and change
          2.  Copy

     PDX only
          3.  Data Set allocate/format/delete

    choice entry

    Select one of the following options and press Enter:

    1. Select members of a PDX/PDS for browsing, search for strings in a PDX/PDS, or change strings in a PDX/PDS.
    2. Copy one PDX or PDS to another PDX or PDS.
    3. Display allocation and block usage information about a PDX, allocate a PDX, format a PDX, or delete a PDX.
