Changing the DPICDS

DPICDS registration records contain information about the compression technique used for a full-function database or a DEDB. To change compression techniques, you must change the technique in the current registration record.

It is important when and how you change the DPICDS. This section describes the methods you can use and provides an example of why the order of steps is so important. For a full function database, the complete steps are presented in Changing-compression-techniques-for-a-full-function-database. For a DEDB, the complete steps are presented in Changing-compression-techniques-for-DEDBs.
