Fallback processing

If DBRC authorization fails for a database and you have specified the FALLBACK(Y) keyword, the Image Copy utility might be able to create an online image copy (also known as a 'fuzzy' or concurrent image copy) through the OIC function.

The OIC function requires the less-restrictive read-only (RO) level of DBRC authorization, while batch Image Copy and Snapshot Copy functions require the more-restrictive read (RD) level. The less-restrictive level might be easier for the Image Copy utility to obtain, increasing the likelihood that the utility can create a copy.

For more information, see FALLBACK keyword.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
