MERGE keyword

Use the MERGE keyword to indicate whether to automatically merge volume copies.

It is valid only when you specify VOLCOPY(Y).

Uses

Optional in global and database-specific options modules. Optional on the following control statements:

  • GLBL
  • GROUP
  • IC and AIC
  • OIC and AOIC

MERGE(value)

Values

Specify one of the following values:

  • Y—Merge volume copies.

  • N—Do not merge volume copies.

    Important

    Specify MERGE(Y) if you want to perform DBRC notification of the output image copy.
