Using dynamic allocation models RVP
The following sections explain how to use dynamic allocation models for specifying options that are used during dynamic allocation of output data sets.
Although a primary use of models is for output copies, you can also use models for allocating log extract data sets, change accumulation extract data sets, and checkpoint data sets.
If the utility uses a dynamic allocation model to allocate a data set, the utility does not accept values for dynamic allocation keywords that are specified on GLBL, GROUP, and function control statements as overrides for values that are specified in the model. The model must include all keywords that define the attributes that the utility needs for dynamic allocation of an output data set.
