DUMP keyword (ICPSYSIN)


Use the DUMP keyword to identify the input image copy data set for the functions that use an input image copy data set.

  • CIC and ACIC (unless specified on the GROUP control statement)
  • IIC and AIIC (unless specified on the GROUP control statement)
  • REC and AREC

Optional on the following control statement:

  • GROUP

Related keywords

For the IIC, AIIC, CIC, and ACIC functions, you may specify DUMP(*) to indicate dynamic allocation if DBRC is active, as specified with DBRC(Y).

Syntax

DUMP(ddname)

Values

Specify one of the following values:

  • ddname— The ddname (1-8 alphanumeric characters) for the input image copy data set as it is specified in the JCL. This form is not valid on the GROUP control statement.
  • *—Dynamically allocate the input image copy data set. This value requires DBRC(Y). Dynamic allocation is not valid for the REC and AREC functions. You must use this form on the GROUP control statement.
