SCAN keyword

The SCAN keyword verifies the syntax and function of the control statements and keywords.

You can also use it to create a pull list of all the input tapes that are needed for the run; see Tape-Cartridge-Pull-List. You can also use it to verify the data set name that is generated by the Data Set Name user exit without building the output data set; see Data-Set-Name-user-exit.
