Preparation for dynamic allocation of log data sets

This section discusses how the BMC Software BATCH CONTROL FACILITY (BCF) component of AR/CTL dynamically allocates the new data sets it uses for the primary and secondary logs. It describes how to prepare for dynamic allocation by providing information in one or more dynamic allocation records in the REGISET and how to specify data set name skeletons. Finally, it discusses generation data groups and provides information and examples for using them with the BCF component.
