Displaying sequential file information


To open the Display Sequential File Information panel, enter action code S on the Select Restart Data Set Content Type panel. Information about sequential files that are open at the time of the checkpoint are displayed on the Display Sequential File Information panel.

CHECKPOINT IDENTIFIER   

Indicates the details of the checkpoint identifier for a selected sequential file. 

DATE

Indicates the date at the time of the checkpoint.

TIME

Indicates the time at the time of the checkpoint.

STATUS

Indicates the details of the checkpoint identifier.

FCBNAME

Indicates the name of the AR/CTL file control block.

MEDIUM

Indicates the details of a sequential file medium.

OPEN FLAGS

Indicates the value of the FCB flags at the time of open. 

DATA SET SEQUENCE NUMBER

Indicates the sequence number of a file, (when it is concatenated input) at the time of the checkpoint.

VOLUME SEQUENCE NUMBER

Indicates the sequence number of volume, (when file is on multiple volume) at the time of the checkpoint. 

TTRZ OR RBA

Indicates the TTRZ or RBA field containing the DASD address (TTRZ), relative byte address (RBA), or relative block number (RBN) that indicates the repositioning point for a restart.

BLOCK NUMBER

Indicates the block number of an issued NOTE macro, at the time of the checkpoint.

CURRENT DISPLACEMENT

Indicates the block offset at the time of the checkpoint.

TOTAL RECORD COUNT

Indicates the record count processed at the time of the checkpoint (across all concatenations for input).

VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER

Indicates the current volume serial number at the time of the checkpoint.
