RECFM

Optional for ASAM data sets. Use this option to specify the record format of the data set. The record types include fixed, variable, and undefined record types. The data set can be blocked or unblocked and can contain control characters. If you omit the value, the record format can be determined from the job step JCL, application program, or system catalog.
