LRECL

Optional for ASAM data sets. Use this option to specify the logical record length of the data set. If you omit this value for an output file or a non-labeled tape input file, the job step JCL, application program, or system catalog must provide the logical record length.

Set one of the following values:

0

Use the JCL value for output data sets and non-labeled tapes. Use the data set label value for input data sets.

number

Use the specified number (1 to 32760) of bytes, according to MVS rules.
