This space contains information about the 8.1.01 release of the BMC Application Director for IMS product.

The BMC Application Director for IMS product is the component of the BMC Database Director for IMS product that manages IMS BMP, DLI, and DBB batch jobs.

When enabled, Database Director invokes Application Director to automatically suspend and resume the jobs, at the appropriate time, during the reorganizations and clones.

Application Director includes an ISPF interface that you can use to manage IMS BMP, DLI, and DBB batch jobs that you enable for Application Director. For convenience, most of the tasks that you can perform in the ISPF interface for Application Director, you can also access in the ISPF interface for Database Director.
