Setting SQL return code class options

This section describes how to set values for the APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL (AR/CTL) SQL return code class options.

AR/CTL can intercept a defined SQL return code received during application program processing and issue a defined user abend code and reason code. This abend code and reason code can be defined as a combination that is eligible for application reattach processing.

You define how you want AR/CTL to handle SQL return codes in an SQL return code class record. This record contains a maximum of 10 SQL return code options. For each option, you can set the SQL return code to intercept and the user abend code and reason code to issue if the defined SQL return code is received.

SQL return code interception requires a license for AR/CTL for DB2.
