Troubleshooting SmartSwitch

If SmartSwitch fails when attempting to switch a job from UNLOAD PLUS to BMC AMI Unload, resubmit the original UNLOAD PLUS JCL with the UNLOAD PLUS restart parameter:


    • If BMC AMI Unload can run the failed job, SmartSwitch automatically translates the restart parameter specified in the UNLOAD PLUS PARM= clause to be BMC AMI Utilities compatible, as follows:

      UNLOAD PLUS parameter

      BMC AMI Unload parameter

      Null

      RESTART

      NEW

      NORESTART

      RESTART

      RESTART

      NEW/RESTART

      RESTART

      NEW/RESTART(PHASE)

      RESTART

      TERM

      QUICKEXIT

    • If BMC AMI Unload cannot run the failed job, UNLOAD PLUS runs the job.
