Sysplex support
SQL Performance for DB2
is designed to run in a sysplex environment.
One Data Collector from each z/OS image in the sysplex can be defined in a DOMPLEX group. Each Data Collector can monitor all DB2 subsystems on its same z/OS image and all Data Collectors in the DOMPLEX can communicate with each other, making data from all of the DB2 subsystems across the DOMPLEX available to all DOMPLEX users. All users can view online reports that contain data from any or all DB2 subsystems in the DOMPLEX and can issue commands to any DB2 in the DOMPLEX. The following figure illustrates sysplex communication in a SQL Performance DOMPLEX.
Sysplex communication
SQL Performance administrators have authority to define DOMPLEXes using the DOMPLEX Option Sets function of the Administration menu. For a complete explanation of DOMPLEX option sets, see the System and SQL Performance for DB2 Administration.
