How the switch occurs

The process of switching a job from REORG PLUS to BMC AMI Reorg typically involves more than simply copying the REORG PLUS syntax to BMC AMI Reorg. In most cases, REORG PLUS performs the following steps:

  1. Parses the job commands in the SYSIN and builds new syntax that is compatible with BMC AMI Reorg
  2. Places the new syntax in internal classic-utility control blocks
  3. Merges any option module specifications into these control blocks as if you had specified the specifications in the syntax
