Troubleshooting SmartSwitch

If SmartSwitch fails when attempting to switch a job from REORG PLUS to BMC AMI Reorg, resubmit the original REORG PLUS JCL with the REORG PLUS restart parameter:

• If BMC AMI Reorg can run the failed job, SmartSwitch automatically translates the restart parameter specified in REORG PLUS's PARM= clause to be BMC AMI Utilities compatible, as follows:

  REORG PLUS parameter	BMC AMI Reorg parameter
  Null	RESTART
  NEW	NORESTART
  RESTART	RESTART
  NEW/RESTART	RESTART
  NEW/RESTART(PHASE)	RESTART
  TERM	QUICKEXIT

• If BMC AMI Reorg cannot run the failed job, REORG PLUS runs the job.
