STARJOIN—Starjoin enablement/ratio


Use the Modify Starjoin Enablement Status/Ratio panel or the STARJOIN command to enable or disable starjoin processing.

Description

DB2ssid

Db2 subsystem ID or the name of the Db2 data sharing group to which the command applies.

opertuneID

OPERTUNE system profile name (if OPERTUNE is running as a started task) or the batch job name (if OPERTUNE is running as a batch job).

DISABLE

Star join process is not active.

ENABLE

Star join processing is active.

value

Star join processing is active, and Db2 will use the ratio of the star join table and the largest dimension table. Specify a value from 1 to 32768.

  • A value of 1 indicates that the fact table will be the largest table in a star join query that does not have fact/dimension ration checking.
  • A value of 2 to 32768 indicates that Db2 should use the ratio of the star join table and the largest dimension table.

NORESET

The changes you request remain in effect until the Db2 subsystem is cycled.
