REGION parameter

Include the REGION parameter on either your JOB statement or your EXEC statement to specify the region size (the amount of virtual storage used by the utility).

Success

Tip

For the best performance, BMC recommends that you specify REGION=0M to allocate all available virtual storage to the DASD MANAGER PLUS job. If your data center does not permit you to specify REGION=0M, specify the amount that allows the most virtual storage above and below the 16-MB line.

Warning

Note

If you do not specify REGION= 0M, ensure that the MEMLIMIT parameter is set appropriately. You can set MEMLIMIT either as your site’s default SMF option or through your JOB or EXEC statement.

For more information about setting these parameters, see the DASD MANAGER PLUS for DB2 User Guide.
