Defining a DOMPLEX

This task applies to all System and SQL Performance products except OPERTUNE and

SQL Explorer

.

  1. On the main menu for your System and SQL Performance product or solution, select Administration.
  2. On the Administration menu, select 2 (DOMPLEX Option Sets).
  3. On the DOMPLEX Options Set panel, perform the relevant action:
    • If you migrated from a previous release, the Installation System migrated your previous option set to the new release. The option set contains values that you specified in the install dialog.

To review or edit the values, select the DOMPLEX option set.

    • If you did not migrate from a previous release, the Installation System created a DOMPLEX option set for you using values that you specified in the install dialog.

To review or edit the values, select the DOMPLEX option set.

    • If the DOMPLEX option set that you want to use is not listed, type I to insert a new option set and press Enter.
  4. On the DOMPLEX option set panel, expand each section and review or change the values.

    Tip

To expand sections on the DOMPLEX option set panel, place the cursor on the + sign next to a section and press Enter. The major sections are DOMPLEX Parameters, Data Collector List, DB2 Monitor List, and Output Groups.

You must define at least one Data Collector, one DB2 subsystem to monitor, and one output group with LOGSET parameters. For more information about individual fields and sections, press F1 for Help or see the System-and-SQL-Performance-for-Db2-administration

  5. Press F3 when you finish.
  6. If the product prompts you for a new option set, name the DOMPLEX option set and type a description.

    Important

The DOMPLEX name should match the DOMPLEX value specified in the $480INIT job. The Data Collector name should match the DBC subsystem ID.

To define this DOMPLEX option set name to the DOM agent in the DBC, perform the following steps:

    1. Rerun the DOMSTRT step of the $480INIT job to define the DOMPLEX option set name to the DOM agent in the DBC.
    2. Review the DVDBCDPL variable in the $$INCINF member.
