Default time objective values
You can optionally define global backup and recovery target times. BMC Workbench can use these values to calculate whether performance times will exceed these values.
BMC Workbench uses these values as default values for any new report.
To set the default time objective values
New BMC Workbench console
- In the Recovery Management perspective, click Options
. On the Time Objectives tab, enter the time objective values, as shown in the following table:

- Click OK.

- In the Recovery Management perspective, click Options
. On the Time Objectives tab, enter the time objective values, as shown in the following table:

- Click OK.
Default storage group values
Following installation, the DB2 storage group for a DB2 connection is SYSDEFLT. You can specify a default global storage group for each DB2 connection. BMC Workbench uses this default value whenever a storage group needs to be defined for an object set.
To set the default DB2 storage group
New BMC Workbench console
- In the Recovery Management perspective, click Options
. - In the Options dialog box, select the Storage Group tab.
- Select a DB2 connection.
- Click
. - Select a storage group.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Classic BMC Workbench console
- In the Recovery Management perspective, click Options
. - In the Options dialog box, select the Storage Group tab.
- Select a DB2 connection.
- Click
. - Enter the name of the storage group.
- Click OK.
