+UPDATE

The +UPDATE parameter specifies what statistic to write to the Db2 catalog. This parameter sets the UPDATE value for BMC AMI Stats as well as other utilities that update statistics.

BMC AMI Stats can write access-path statistics, space-related statistics, both kinds of statistics, or none. In the BMC AMI Utilities configuration, you can set +UPDATE to act as a user-specified default for all statistics jobs. The BMC configured default value is ALL. You can override +UPDATE by specifying UPDATE in the SYSIN DD statement.

(Default) Writes access path and space statistics to the Db2 catalog

NONE or N

Does not write any statistics to the Db2 catalog

PATH or P

Writes only access-path statistics to the Db2 catalog

SPACE or S

Writes only space-related statistics to the Db2 catalog

Tip

You can use the UPDATE option in the SYSIN statement to set this value.
