NGTDISP report

The NGTDISP report contains information about products that are currently running or started. For information about producing this report, see NGTDISP-command.

The following table describes the column definitions:

UTILITY-ID

Specifies the utility ID

Important

Utility ID values immediately preceded in the first column by an asterisk character (*) indicates that the product has completed. For an example, see the first three rows in the preceding sample report.

Utility ID values not preceded by an asterisk indicates that the product did not fully complete at the time the report was compiled. For example, see the last row in the preceding sample report.

UTILITY STATUS

The status of the associated utility ID

Status	Description
COMPLETED OK	Return code of 0 or 4
RESTARTABLE	Utility ID is incomplete and can be restarted
FORCEID RUN	A FORCEID has been run on this utility ID
MUST COMPLETE	Utility ID is in a MUST COMPLETE state. You must run QUICKEXIT or RESTART.
NO RESTART	Utility ID is not in a restartable state. Either a cleanup has occurred or utility work did not start.
QEXIT ERROR	QUICKEXIT was attempted but encountered an error
QUICKEXIT	Utility ID completed via QUICKEXIT
JOB RUNNING	Utility ID was active when NGTDISP ran

UTILITY TYPE

(PTF BQU2620 applied) The type of utility that is currently running or being started. The possible utility types are; CHECKIX, COPY, LOAD, MIXED, NGTDISP, REBUILD, REORG, RUNSTATS, UNLOAD.

STARTED

The date and time at which the product was started

ENDED

The date and time at which the product ended, if completed. If the product is still active, this field will not have a value. Products with an abend (RC=255) will not have an end time.

JOBNAME

The name of the job associated with the utility ID

JOB #

The job number associated with the utility ID

STEPNAME

The step name associated with the utility ID

RET CODE

The highest return code for the job step. The return code for abends is 255.

DATASET QUALIFIER

Unique qualifier used for the BMC AMI Utilities VSAM work data sets

(BMC.DB2.SPE2110) The SS column has a Y value if the utility was executed by SmartSwitch.

(BMC.DB2.SPE2110) The DU column has a Y value if the utility has a duration value.
