+DRAIN_RDELAY

The +DRAIN_RDELAY parameter specifies the number of seconds a BMC AMI Utilities process waits between attempts to acquire a failed drain.

DRAIN_RDELAY.png

The values are defined as follows:

x

For drains occurring during the initial object serialization process, enter a value between 0 and 1800 to indicate the number of seconds to wait.

  • If you specify 0, there is no delay between drain attempts.
  • If you do not specify or configure a value for +DRAIN_RDELAY, the default is 0.
  • If you specify or configure a value for +DRAIN_RDELAY, that value is used at runtime in +DRAIN_RDELAY.

y

For drains occurring during the data capture process, enter a value between 0 and 30 to indicate the number of seconds to wait.

  • If you specify 0, there is no delay between drain attempts.
  • If you do not specify or configure a value for +DRAIN_RDELAY, the default is 0
  • If you specify or configure a value for +DRAIN_RDELAY, that value is used at runtime in +DRAIN_RDELAY.

Important

If you are using the XRRGRWRO automation control point, the delay set in XRRGRWRO overrides the +DRAIN_RDELAY y value when variable DELAY > 0 is set. For more information about XRRGRWRO and delay, see XRRGRWRO-online-reorganization-change-apply-control-automation-control-point.

Example

+DRAIN_RDELAY(1,1) - 1 second delay for both initial object serialization process and data capture process if a drain failure occurs.

+DRAIN_RDELAY(,1) is not allowed.
+DRAIN_RDELAY(1,) is not allowed.

Important

For the rules that apply to parameter syntax, see Parameter syntax rules.
