+HISTORY

The +HISTORY parameter specifies whether to write and what type of statistics to write to the Db2 Catalog history tables. This parameter is used by BMC AMI Stats and all BMC AMI Utilities that update statistics.

You can set +HISTORY in the BMC AMI Utilities configuration to specify the default value for your installation. The BMC configured default value is ALL. You can override +HISTORY by specifying HISTORY in the SYSIN DD statement.

) (Default) Writes to the Db2 catalog history tables both access path and space statistics

NONE or N

Does not write statistics to the Db2 catalog history tables

Following are the values for DB2 ZPARM STATHIST:

  • NONE
  • ACCESPATH
  • SPACE
  • ALL

For an example of this parameter, see Using BMC AMI Stats.

Important

  • A +HISTORY value is a PATH
  • An associated STATHIST value is an ACCESSPATH
  • NGTSTATS evaluates STATSHIST=ACCESSPATH as a PATH

Important

For the rules that apply to parameter syntax, see Parameter syntax rules.

Tip

You can use the HISTORY option in the SYSIN statement to set this value.
