Installing BMC AMI SQL Assurance on Jenkins


This topic describes how to install SQL Assurance on Jenkins.

To install the product on Jenkins

You can use the following procedure for advanced installation of plug-ins on Jenkins:

  1. From the Dashboard in the Jenkins web user interface, navigate to Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Advanced tab.
  2. In the Upload Plugin area:
    1. Click Choose File.
    2. Select BMC-AMI-DevOps-Common-12.01.00.nnnn.hpi.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. In the Upload Plugin area:
    1. Click Choose File.
    2. Select BMC-AMI-Db2-SA-12.01.00.nnnn.hpi.
  5. Click Upload.
  6. After the plug-in is successfully installed, restart the Jenkins server.

Important

12.01.00.nnnn represents the installed version number of the plug-in.

To verify that the product is installed on Jenkins

After installing the product, use the following procedure to verify that the product is installed on Jenkins:

  1. From the Dashboard in the Jenkins web user interface, navigate to Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Installed tab.
  2. Verify that:
    • The BMC AMI DevOps Common plug-in and the BMC AMI SQL Assurance for Db2 plug-in are available in the list.
    • The correct version of both the plug-ins are displayed.
    • The plug-ins are enabled. Verify that for both the plug-ins, the check box in the Enabled column is selected.
  3. If the plug-ins are not installed correctly, reinstall them (see To install the product on Jenkins).
