+PBGCHKDICT

The +PBGCHKDICT parameter specifies whether BMC AMI Reorg performs a PBG compression dictionary check.

YES

(Default) BMC AMI Reorg checks that all partitions have the same compression dictionary and uses the new compression dictionary in either of the following cases:

  • Not all partitions have the same compression dictionary.
  • All partitions have the same compression dictionary, but the new compression dictionary will improve the compression ratio.

NO

BMC AMI Reorg will build the new compression dictionary as part of the standard process but will not use the new compression dictionary. Selecting NO results in an abend during the reorganization if the partitions do not use the same dictionary.
