Important We are integrating BMC AMI LOBMaster technology into the BMC AMI Reorg product and discontinuing BMC AMI LOBMaster as a separate product. For the latest integrated documentation, see BMC AMI Reorg for Db2 13.1.

+CHKCOPYDSN

The +CHKCOPYDSN(NO/YES) parameter ensures that the uniqueness of a copy data set name is validated prior to the BMC AMI Reorg job execution.

The values defined are as follows:

NO

(Default) Does not validate copy data set names.

YES

Validates the generated copy data set name in the SYSIBM.SYSCOPY table.

Duplicate names generate an error. A non-zero return code value is set for the job and error message NGTC046 is issued to SYSERROR.
For more information on this message, see Messages NGTC000 through NGTC999.

If a copy data set name is found to be unique, no message is issued.

Due to the nature of copy data set names that contain date, time, or timestamp values, the uniqueness of data set names containing these values cannot be guaranteed.

Important

For the rules that apply to parameter syntax, see Parameter syntax rules.
