Important We are integrating BMC AMI LOBMaster technology into the BMC AMI Reorg product and discontinuing BMC AMI LOBMaster as a separate product. For the latest integrated documentation, see BMC AMI Reorg for Db2 13.1.

ROW CHANGE TIMESTAMP

(BMC.DB2.SPE2307)

When you add a ROW CHANGE TIMESTAMP column to a table containing data, BMC AMI Reorg applies a default value to the preexisting data rows.

The default value is as follows:

  • For Db2 12, the default value is the BMC AMI Reorg utility runtime. IBM Reorg assigns a value that comes from an internal table. This is the difference in behavior between IBM and BMC AMI Reorg.
  • For Db2 13, BMC AMI Reorg uses the value found in SYSCOLUMNS.DEFAULTVALUE by default. If no value is present, the default value is the BMC AMI Reorg utility runtime.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
