Displaying, updating, and deleting recovery options
Before you begin
To perform this procedure, you need the following authorizations (if you are not the creator of the object set):
- EXECUTE authority for the BMC AMI Recovery Manager DB2 plan
- TYPE A authority if you intend to save the object set
- TYPE O authority if you do not intend to save the object set
To browse or update object set recovery options
Start this procedure at the Object List panel, which is displayed after you have created or retrieved an object set.
- In the Object List panel, select 2. Object Set Edit, and then press Enter.
- Select 1. Utility options and then press Enter.
- In the Utility Options Specification panel, select 1. Browse or 2. Update and 1. Recovery, and then press Enter.
In the Recover Options Specification panel, select one of the following choices and press Enter to display those options:
- General recovery options (see General-recovery-options for option descriptions)
- BMC AMI Recover options (For option descriptions, see BMC-AMI-Recover-options)
- IBM Db2 Recover (DSNUTILB) options (for option descriptions, see Db2-RECOVER-options)
- Work File options (for option descriptions, see Symbolic-variables-in-post-recovery-image-copy-data-set-names)
- Output data set options (for option descriptions, see Output-data-set-option-descriptions)
- Make changes as needed, then perform one of the following tasks:
- To cancel your changes and return to the Recover Options Specification panel, press F3.
- To accept your changes and return to the Recover Options Specification panel, press Enter.
To delete object set recovery options
- In the Object List panel, select 2. Object Set Edit, and then press Enter.
- Select 1. Utility options and then press Enter.
- In the Utility Options Specification panel, select 3. Delete and then 1. Recovery, and then press Enter.
To delete all options set at the object set level, select 3. Delete. To exit without deleting options, select Cancel delete.
- To return to the Object Set Edit panel, press F3.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
