Task 2: Creating copies of repositories
Before you begin
Before you create copies of the repository and table spaces, perform the following steps:
- Create an object set for the repository, then generate backup JCL (see Creating a repository object set for backup or recovery). Recovery of the repository will be necessary if you want to generate JCL through BMC AMI Recovery Manager at the disaster site.
- If necessary, create an object set for BMC AMI Log Master, and then generate backup JCL.
To create copies
- Verify that the copies are for the recovery site. (Although not required, using the recovery site designation is highly recommended.)
- Make copies and send the output media to an offsite location. For information about generating the backup JCL for the repository, see Generating-a-backup-job-interactively.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
