Generating a batch ARMBSHC job interactively

BMC AMI Recovery Manager provides online support to create ARMBSHC batch jobs.

You can specify batch JCL generation from the Subsystem Health Check panel and then specify the recovery point and job information.

Before you begin

The following authorizations are required to run the ARMBSHC program:

  • APF authorization for the BMC AMI Recovery Manager load library
  • EXECUTE authority on the BMC AMI Recovery Manager plan
  • READ authority for bootstrap data sets (BSDSs)

Db2 must be active when you run the generated JCL.

    • The job statement must contain a symbolic variable (&#) for the job number. For more information, see Output-data-sets-job-cards-and-symbolic-variables.
  9. Save the JCL data set or submit the job as required.
