Adding objects to an object set
Before you begin
To perform this procedure, you need the following authorizations (if you are not the creator of the object set):
- EXECUTE authority for the BMC AMI Recovery Manager Db2 plan
- TYPE O authority if you do not plan to save changes to the object set
- TYPE A authority if you plan to save changes to the object set
- DISPLAY DATABASE authority to list all objects in recover pending status when you attempt to add such objects to the target object set
To add objects to an object set
- Display the object set by performing the following steps:
- In the BMC AMI Recovery for Db2 Main Menu, select 1. Appl object sets.
- Enter an object set name or wildcard pattern to display one or more object sets.
- Place S or SA by the object set you want to select on the Object Set List panel.
In the Object List panel for the target object set, select 5. Add objects and then press Enter.

- When the Selection for Object List Generation panel appears, perform the following substeps:
- Type a wildcard pattern or the name of the object to be added.
- Select Replace (the default).
- Press Enter to list the specified objects.
- Type the action code S by the objects to be added. Type SA to add all objects in the list.
- Press Enter.
- When the List Generation Options panel appears, perform the following substeps:
- Choose to include or exclude objects and indexes related by referential integrity.
- Press Enter to return to the Object List panel for the target object set.All selected objects are now included in the object list for the target object set.
- Press F3 to exit or save the object set to the repository. Select Save, SaveAs, Exit, or Cancel, as required.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
