Copy utility options

COPY_UTILITY | Select the backup utility to be used, as follows:

REGION_SIZE | Specify the amount of virtual storage used by the copy utility. The default value is 4 MB. The valid range is -1 through 2047 MB. A value of -1 specifies that BMC AMI Recovery Manager will not generate region size at the step level. BMC AMI Recovery Manager JCL generation recognizes the -1 value and does not generate REGION=. | ||||||
QUIESCE_BEFORE | Establish a quiesce point for each table space in the object set before the copy process starts. | ||||||
QUIESCE_AFTER | Establish a quiesce point for each space in the object set immediately after the copy process completes. | ||||||
QUIESCE_GROUP | Establish a common quiesce point for all table spaces within the current object set. This option is ignored if QUIESCE_BEFORE and QUIESCE_AFTER are set to NO. | ||||||
QUIESCE_WRITE | Instruct Db2 to finish writing any pending transactions for the target spaces before applying the quiesce. This option is ignored if QUIESCE_BEFORE and QUIESCE_AFTER are set to NO. | ||||||
COPY_INDEX_SPACES | Specify whether to back up eligible index spaces. YES specifies to back up all eligible indexes. AUTO specifies to back up indexes as large or larger than the size specified by the INDEX_SIZE_THRESHOLD option. Index spaces are eligible for backup if the following conditions exist:

INDEX_SIZE_THRESHOLD_TYPE | Specify the unit of measure for the threshold size, as follows:

INDEX_SIZE_THRESHOLD | Specify the size threshold at which you want indexes backed up rather than rebuilt. This option is used in conjunction with COPY_INDEX_SPACE AUTO. You can enter the size as follows:

OUTPUT_TYPE_copyType | Specify the types of image copies to be made for the spaces in the object set, where copyType is

SCOPE | Specify the scope of the copy operation for the specified objects. This option is only displayed when you use DSNUTILB as the backup utility.
