History file


Use the History file program to generate JCL for history file maintenance.

You can use the history file maintenance program to get reports about the current content of the BMC AMI Recovery Manager history file and to recover a damaged BMC AMI Recovery Manager history file.

Managing the history file

Use the following procedure to view and manage the history file:

  1. In the BMC AMI Recovery for Db2 Main Menu, select 3. System resources, and press Enter.
    The System Resource Recovery and Maintenance panel is displayed.
  2. Select B. History File and press Enter.
    The History File Maintenance panel is displayed.

  3. Specify the JCL generation batch information and the job information, and press Enter.
  4. In the JCL Specification panel, enter a fully qualified output data set name.
  5. Save the JCL data set or submit the job as required.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
