Recovery strategy

When an event occurs that creates the need to restore all table spaces to a prior point in time, 

BMC AMI Recovery Manager

 can create all of the jobs required to perform the recovery.

BMC AMI Recovery Manager uses Db2 RESTART to recover the subsystem to a point of consistency. It also uses ARMBGEN to create recovery JCL that excludes recovery of table spaces that have not changed in the interval of time between the selected recovery point and the current time. The omission of needless recoveries allows the subsystem to be available again in the minimum amount of time.
