Using a batch program to build object sets

Use the

BMC AMI Recovery Manager

batch object set creation and maintenance program, ARMBGRP to:

  • Create object sets of objects defined by volume, table space name, or table name pattern
  • Change or define many of the backup and recovery options for an object set
  • Delete object sets
  • Copy object sets
  • Rename object sets
  • Report on object set information

These actions are accomplished using the following parameters:

  • OBJECTSET
  • VOLUMES
  • REPOSITORY
  • TABLE
  • TABLESPACE
  • INDEX
  • INDEXSPACE
  • EXCEPTION
  • PACKAGE
  • PLAN
  • SQL
  • STOGROUP

See ARMBGRP—Object set creation and maintenance.

Use the BMC AMI Recovery Manager batch subsystem object set creation program, ARMBGPS, to automatically create object sets containing all objects in an entire Db2 subsystem. For more information, see Full-subsystem-recovery.
