A=About

Displays information about the object set

B=Backup

Creates a backup JCL for the selected object set

BA=Backup all

Creates a backup JCL for all object sets

C=Change Name

Changes the object set name or description

D=Delete

Deletes the object set from the Recovery Manager Repository

This action does not delete any of the objects contained in the object set.

F=Specs

Displays the definition of object sets

G=Create JCL

Generates ARMBGRP JCL to create an object set based on the object set definitions

GA=Create all

Generates ARMBGRP JCL to create all object sets based on their definitions

H=Health check

Displays a submenu of backup and recovery health check options for the selected object set

Health check options identify potential recoverability problems.

J=Recover

Creates recovery JCL for the selected object set

JA=Recover all

Creates recovery JCL for all object sets

K=ARMBGRP JCL

Generates ARMBGRP JCL to report, query, delete, or rename object sets

M=Modify JCL

Generates BMC AMI Copy MODIFY DELETE syntax for SYSCOPY and BMCXCOPY maintenance.

O=Util Options

Displays the object set utility options

P=Progress Rpt

Displays the Recovery Progress Report panel

R=Report

Selects the object set for batch recoverability validation

RA=Report all

Selects all the object sets for recoverability validation

S=Select

Selects the object set for further action

SA=Select all

Selects all the object sets in the list for further action

X=Export

Generates ARMBGRP JCL to export an object set's definitions, backup and recover options, and write them to a file in ARMBGRP CREATE and UPDATE syntax format

XA=Export all

Generates ARMBGRP JCL to export all the object set definitions, backup and recover options for all object sets in the list, and write them to a file in ARMBGRP CREATE and UPDATE syntax format

Rules of precedence                                                    

The following table describes the rules of precedence for actions performed on the Object Set List panel:

Takes precedence over all other actions

JA

Takes precedence over all other actions if RA is not specified on any entry

BA

Takes precedence over all other actions if RA or JA are not specified on any entry

SA

Takes precedence over all other actions if RA, JA, or BA are not specified on any entry

  If you do not perform any action, S, R, D, B, and J entries are processed in the sequence in which they are encountered.
